Law Enforcement Liaisons

Safer employs some of the State's foremost experts in the field of law enforcement to oversee the coordination of Operation DWI (ODWI), Operation Buckle Down (OBD), STEP, Click It or Ticket, the "100 Days & Nights of Summer" campaign, and other enhanced enforcement programs.  Jim Allison, Lanny Maddox, and Tim Baughman  have a combined total of over 75 years of law enforcement experience. As retired law enforcement personnel, these contractors are uniquely qualified to handle the specialized needs of the law enforcement sector.

Coordination of the enhanced enforcement programs includes negotiating overtime agreements with participating law enforcement agencies; scheduling, providing, and/or coordinating training for these programs; providing technical assistance to law enforcement agencies; providing checkpoint equipment; and working with various law enforcement agencies and organizations statewide to ensure programs have enforcement support.
